Gynecomastia
For men who care about their physical appearance, the masculine appearance of the breast area is important. Many men experience significant psychological problems due to their outsized breasts.
What is gynecomastia?
In the medical language, gynecomastia is called excessive growth of breasts in men compared to normal which causes a feminine appearance of their breasts. Briefly, gynecomastia is an abnormal growth in the male breast. This problem, which is frequently encountered in adolescence, can be solved with appropriate treatment approaches.
Why does it happen?
Breast tissue starts growing under the influence of some genetically determined hormones and biological factors. The biological inspection of the breast tissue is governed by hormones such as estrogen and progesterone. Male hormones inhibit the growth effect of estrogen on breast tissue. The balance between these hormones is the reason why men’s breasts are either larger than normal or just normal.
What is the treatment for gynecomastia?
Commonly, gynecomastia is treated not for health purposes, but for patients’ discomfort about their appearances. Surgical interference and liposuction methods are commonly used for gynecomastia treatment.
Why is clinical examination required before the treatment?
Clinical examination is essential before gynecomastia treatment. With a convenient evaluation, the type and stage of the gynecomastia are investigated. Whether there is an underlying problem is also investigated. After the evaluation the best and the most aesthetic appearance for the patient is offered.
Breast Lifting
Breast lifting is an operation that enhances many women’s self-confidence.
Breast sagging may occur due to gravity, frequent weight gain, breastfeeding and loss of elasticity of the skin. In addition, aging and pregnancy cause breast sagging due to the loosening of the skin or draining off. Over time, the breasts lose their firm and round form. Although rare, breast sagging can be seen in young girls due to genetic factors. Sagging breasts are lifted by rejuvenating their contours with breast lift surgery (mastopexy).
How is it done?
The breasts can regain their firm and full form with a simple operation called mastopexy, which can be performed under local anesthesia. Breast lifting surgery is a simple and risk-free operation that can be performed by a plastic surgeon. Takes an average of 1-3 hours depending on the type of the operation. The type of procedure to be performed differs.
What to beware of after the surgery?
There is no crucial issue to pay specific attention after the surgery. The patient can return to their work next day, right after their surgery. There is no adverse pain or ache after the operation.
Why is an examination from a specialist is essential for breast lifting operation?

People who are not satisfied with their breast size after their development is complete can have a breast augmentation with protheses. This operation provides correction of asymmetrical and deformed breasts simultaneously. Planning and measurements are made in accordance with the request of our patient and the shape of their own body. Our goal is to create natural breasts.
Breast augmentation is a procedure performed under general anesthesia, which takes about 45 minutes. According to the body structure of our patient, the breast prosthesis is placed as subfascial (under the muscle fascia) or submuscular. After the evaluation, a prosthesis is be placed to the anatomical fold under the breast or to the nipple. Stitches are removed in the 1st week. Sports bras should be used for about 6 weeks after the surgery.
Commonly, our patients can go back to their normal life after the 5th day, however, we suggest they do exercises at least for a month.
Breast Reduction
The breast tissue may grow more than it should due to genetic reasons, weight gain or hormone supplementation. Larger-than-normal breasts can cause health problems. In such cases, good results are obtained with breast reduction surgery.

Before the surgery, the plastic surgeon decides together with the patient how much to take the breast tissue. The operation is performed under general anesthesia. It takes about 2 hours. Excess tissue is removed, and breast is reshaped.
