Endoscopic Brow Lift

ENDOSCOPIC BROW LIFT
and Almond Eye Surgery
An endoscopic brow lift is an aesthetic surgical procedure in which eyebrows that have descended with age, especially the tail of the brow, are lifted through small incisions in the hairline with the help of a camera. If desired, the outer corner of the eye can also be lifted in the same operation to create an almond-eye look.
A lifted, firm brow tail is one of the key features that make the face look youthful and lively. With age, the brows sag especially at their outer ends, and the eyes take on a tired, sad or older expression. At Op. Dr. Mert Seçer’s clinic, the aim is to give the brows a natural, rested appearance without creating a surprised or artificial look.
WHO IS IT SUITABLE FOR?
Low Brows and a Tired Look
An endoscopic brow lift is intended for people whose eyebrows, especially the brow tails, have descended.
- People with sagging at the outer ends of the eyebrows
- People whose expression has become tired or sad
- People who feel heaviness on the upper eyelid because of low brows
- People who want a more lifted brow and an almond-eye look
ENDOSCOPIC TECHNIQUE
Through the Hairline, with a Camera
In the endoscopic technique, a camera is inserted through small incisions in the hairline. The tissues pulling the brow down are released under camera view, and the brow tail is lifted to the desired height and fixed.
Because the incisions remain within the hairline, there is no visible scar on the face. Since it is a more limited procedure than classic methods requiring larger incisions, recovery is also more comfortable.
ALMOND EYE SURGERY
Fox Eyes
Almond eye surgery (fox eyes / almond eyes) lifts the outer corner of the eye upwards and outwards to give the eyes a more upturned, almond shape.
This procedure can optionally be added to an endoscopic brow lift. Lifting the eye corner together with the brow tail creates a harmonious, youthful look around the eyes. The amount of lift is planned during the examination according to the patient’s facial structure and expectations.
COMBINED WITH EYELID SURGERY
Combined Procedure
Brow ptosis is often accompanied by excess skin on the upper eyelid. In these patients, correcting only the brow or only the eyelid may not give a sufficient result.
When needed, an endoscopic brow lift can be planned in the same session as eyelid surgery. Treating the brow and eyelid together gives a more balanced and natural result around the eyes. Which procedure is needed is determined during the examination.
AFTER SURGERY
Recovery Process
The anaesthesia method and duration of the procedure are planned individually during the examination.
- Mild swelling may be present during the first 3 weeks after surgery.
- Swelling, bruising and a feeling of tightness on the forehead and around the eyes may be seen in the first days.
- Because the incisions remain in the hairline, there is no visible scar on the face.
- During this period, the care instructions provided should be followed.
RISKS
What You Should Know
As with any surgical procedure, an endoscopic brow lift carries certain risks. Swelling, bruising and temporary numbness of the forehead and scalp are expected. Other possible risks include bleeding, infection, asymmetry, hair loss at the incision sites and a result that does not meet expectations. Risks are discussed in detail during the examination.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Does an endoscopic brow lift leave scars?
No. Because the incisions are made within the hairline, there is no visible scar on the face.
How long does swelling last after an endoscopic brow lift?
Mild swelling may be present during the first 3 weeks after surgery.
What is almond eye surgery?
It lifts the outer corner of the eye upwards and outwards to give the eyes a more upturned, almond shape. It can optionally be added to an endoscopic brow lift.
Can a brow lift be combined with eyelid surgery?
Yes. In patients with excess upper eyelid skin together with low brows, both procedures can be planned in the same session.
Will a brow lift give me a surprised look?
The aim is a natural result. Because the amount of lift is planned according to the patient’s facial structure, a surprised or artificial expression is avoided.
How long does an endoscopic brow lift take?
The duration and anaesthesia method vary depending on whether additional procedures such as almond eye or eyelid surgery are performed; they are planned during the examination.
